Wine Company aims to bring heathcare and education through Fair Trade

So apart from the busyness of the spring, I have been again pondering the many facets of fair trade…. in particular health care – again.  I came across an article about a Fair Trade company called Step by Step Wine working in Chile.  Their whole mission gets summarized as “promoting health care and education for their workers.”  Right on topic, don’t you think?

Step by Step Wine is working with about  1,400 small family grape growers, vineyard and winery workers whose  immediate family benefits from their fair trade wine sales.  One of the most interesting things is that the families they support were asked how they wanted money to be spent – their unanimous answer: healthcare and education.

So rather than writing them and interviewing them, I’m going to pass you the link…   and remember… ”Think before you drink… every glass matters.”
